I joined CUSAGC when I started my MRes degree, and became the society’s SSAGO Rep in January 2024.

Student Scout and Guide Organisation
As National Publicity Officer from March 2021 until April 2023, I promoted the Student Scout and Guide Organisation (SSAGO) on behalf of over 40 member clubs across the UK. For example, to widely publicise SSAGO, I created various online news articles (using our SSAGO website), social media posts (using Adobe Illustrator) and promotional videos (using Adobe Premiere Pro). I’m still an active member of National SSAGO today.

Southampton SSAGO
Throughout my undergraduate degree, I was a member of the Southampton Student Scout and Guide Organisation (Southampton SSAGO), and I served as Southampton SSAGO’s Webmaster from February 2020 until November 2022. I often post about Scouting on my Twitter account.
September 2019 – June 2023
Beavers Scouts Leader
I volunteered for over four years with Beaver Scouts. Throughout this time, I significantly improved my planning, teamwork and leadership skills while delivering constructive and entertaining sessions for the Beavers each week. I led numerous engaging activities and taught the Beavers valuable skills for life (including some STEM-related skills). For example, I supervised a team of Beavers during a hands-on engineering workshop run by the Royal Air Force in March 2019.
